Our financial year end is 31 December and our Annual General Meeting for shareholders takes place in June.
Annual General Meeting
Held each year, this meeting provides shareholders with the opportunity to meet with the Board of the Company and to pose any questions which they might have directly to the Company’s management. At this meeting, the Company presents its accounts and reports to shareholders for approval and seeks members’ permission to appoint the Company’s auditors and the fixing of their remuneration. From time to time, the Company may also seek shareholders’ approval for other matters.
We take our environmental responsibilities seriously and would like to send shareholders future Notices via electronic means. The Swansea Bay Tidal Lagoon is being developed by Tidal Lagoon Swansea Bay Plc. With the exception of a £1.25m loan from the Welsh Government, Tidal Lagoon Swansea Bay Plc is privately funded. Its Development Phase has been funded by Mark Shorrock, institutional investors Infracapital (the infrastructure fund arm of Prudential Plc) and InfraRed Capital Partners, David & Heather Stevens, Good Energy Plc, a number of other corporates and more than 360 private investors. To date, £35m has been committed to the Development Phase of the Project.
Infracapital is an award winning European infrastructure investor, managed by M&G Ltd, the European investment management arm of Prudential plc. The firm has over £2.4 billion Assets Under Management across four platforms which seek to give investors access to stable cash flows and long-term capital value. Prudential UK has been active in infrastructure investment since its first infrastructure investment in Carsfad hydroelectric power station in 1935 and was one of the early investors in UK and European PFI/PPP projects in the 1980s.
InfraRed Capital Partners is a leading international investment manager focused on infrastructure and real estate. It operates worldwide from offices in London, Hong Kong, New York, Paris, Seoul and Sydney. With over 120 professionals it manages in excess of $9bn USD of equity capital in multiple private and listed funds, primarily for institutional investors across the globe. InfraRed has launched 15 funds (including two companies listed on the London Stock Exchange’s Main Market (HICL and TRIG), six of which have been realised.
The infrastructure team develops, acquires and manages infrastructure projects from their conception through to their long-term operating phase. Over an 18-year track record, InfraRed has developed over 70 infrastructure projects and an aggregate capital expenditure of over $25bn USD.
