Interested in Science and Technology pitched at a level for the man or woman in the street? If so, then the Science and Technology Group could be of interest to you.

Thornbury U3A is an organisation where retired or semi-retired people can meet like-minded friends and share educational, creative and leisure activities to expand their knowledge, share interests and acquire new skills. They are a self-governing organisation of about 1,700 members working under the umbrella of “The Third Age Trust” and share the common philosophy, aims and objectives of the parent organisation.

The group hold six meetings a year on the last Friday of alternate months starting in January. The venue is the Coach Hall at the Chantry, in Thornbury.  Meetings start at 10:30am, with refreshments from 10:00am. A contribution of £1 is usually requested to help defray the expenses.

On 27 July 2018, Raquel Hughes, Investor Relations Director at TLP, will be providing an introduction to tidal lagoons.
